Something Real appeared on the add list at radio stations around the world in late September! Ever since, I have been getting emails from the DJ's and Program Directors letting me know which songs have been played and sometimes letting me know how much they like the music. It's so cool to know that people in Australia and Denmark, Alaska and Memphis are hearing my tunes.

This afternoon, my twelve year old son, Navid, starting singing "Yesterday" - the Beatles tune. I was amazed because his musical taste is usually only about what is happening now. Score another one for the Beatles, reaching yet another generation! At the dinner table, I found out that "Yesterday" was the first tune that my wife, Linda, learned on the guitar when she was twelve, and it also happens to be the first tune that I taught myself on the piano when I was about Navid's age. COOL. This page last modified on March 25, 2009

Time is flying by. Everyday I think of a million things I didn't get done that I wanted to. Maybe it is always that way for a musician. I want to create, write songs, play my trumpet, set up gig dates, sing with Linda, listen to great concerts on DVD. But what I end up doing is the taxes! Man! I am excited about this coming Friday night. Playing with Mark Massey is always a musical high and adventure. I secured Chris Hollyday to play saxophone too. He will play circles around my sax playing, but that's cool. I just keep in mind that I am a trumpeter. lol Hope to get a great turnout. |
